Livingston County cross country honor roll altered by weather, fast competition

Brighton finished in second place, led by fourth-place Zachary Stewart’s personal-best time of 15:43.4, in the Coaching Legends Invitational at Huron Meadows Metropark. Bill Khan

The onset of more seasonable fall temperatures and the high level of competition on the fast Huron Meadows Metropark course resulted in an overhaul of the Livingston County high school cross country honor roll this week.

Brighton and Pinckney took advantage of the conditions and the ability to run with fast runners, with nearly every varsity runner on both teams posting season-best times.

The 15:43.36 by Brighton sophomore Zachary Stewart and the 18:59.03 ran by Pinckney freshman Vivi Eddings improved upon their No. 1 times on the honor roll. As per record-keeping standards for cross country, all times posted in tenths of a second were rounded up to the next full second in this honor roll.
