Multiple Teams · February Sweet for Hartland Bowlers

February has been a good month for our Eagle Bowlers so far. For the week of February 2-8, Hartland had several bowlers in the top five spots throughout each category of the KLAA West standings!

For KLAA Top Game of the Week, JT Smelik was number three for Varsity Boys with 253. Landon Chouinard was number two for JV Boys with 270. Rebecca Paris was number three for JV Girls with 171.

For KLAA Top Series of the Week, Smelik was in the number two spot with 445 for Varsity Boys. The JV Boys team monopolized their category with three of the top five spots: Snider, second with 435, Evan Griffin, fourth with 432, and Chouinard, fifth with 419.

Finally, JV Boys had the top spot for KLAA Team Game for the Week with 962. They also captured the second spot in KLAA Team Series of the Week with an 1853. Varsity Boys were third in the Varsity slot with a 1962. Excellent efforts by all!

Hartland also was strong in the final three matches of the regular season, details below. Playoffs begin Friday, with Varsity attending the KLAA Conference Tournament in Novi. JV Bowlers will bowl in the JV Championship Tournament at Sunnybrook Lanes on Saturday and Sunday. Good luck, Eagles!

Hartland Sweeps Milford on February 5th:

JT Smelik had high game with 253 and high series with 445 for Varsity Boys.
Alex Lane threw the high game with 234 for JV Boys 1, while Evan Griffin threw the high series with 432.
JV Boys 2 bowled for averages. Landon Chouinard had the high game of 270 and Maverik Snider had high series with 435.
Emily Glover threw the high game for Varsity Girls with 193. Julia Conway threw the high series with 359.
Rebecca Paris bowled both the high game of 171 and high series of 279 for JV Girls.

Hartland vs South Lyon East on February 12th:

Varsity Girls lost a close one by two points. Emily Glover again had high game with 192 and high series with 349.
JV Girls won their match; Rebekah Truax threw both high game with 169 and high series with 280.
Varsity Boys won their match as well. Joe Yarmak had high game with 234, and Parker Griffin had high series with 436.
JV Boys Teams bowled for averages; Maverik Snider had both high game with 205 and high series with 349.

Hartland Challenges Top Ranked Howell on February 16th:

Varsity Boys stepped up but lost a heartbreaker to Howell by a half point. Captain Parker Griffin threw the high game of 246 and JT Smelik threw high series of 455.
JV Boys 1 won their match. Evan Griffin had both high game with 227 and high series with 427.
Varsity Girls lost their match. Captain Vanessa Michalowski threw high game with 210, and Michelle Thompson threw the high series with 406.
JV Girls lost their match as well. Rebekah Truax had high game with 164 and high series with 287.
