Hartland Eagles Varsity Softball Falls In Back-And-Forth Affair Against St. Clair HIgh School

Hartland Eagles Varsity softball and St. Clair HIgh School passed the lead back-and-forth on Saturday, but eventually St. Clair HIgh School prevailed 8-4. The game was tied at three with St. Clair HIgh School batting in the top of the fifth when there was an error, scoring one run.
St. Clair HIgh School took an early lead in the first inning. Likins singled on the first pitch of the at bat in the first inning, scoring one run.

After St. Clair HIgh School scored one run in the top of the third, the Eagles answered with one of their own. St. Clair HIgh School scored when Churchill homered off of Madelin Skene, driving in one run. Hartland then answered when Hannah Mourad tripled off of Churchill, driving in one run.

Churchill earned the win for St. Clair HIgh School. She threw six innings, surrendering four runs, eight hits, and striking out five. Skene took the loss for the Eagles. She pitched six innings, giving up eight runs, ten hits, and striking out three.

Hartland had eight hits in the game. Brianna Robeson and Skene each collected multiple hits for the Eagles.

St. Clair HIgh School collected ten hits. Churchill and Griffor each collected multiple hits for St. Clair HIgh School.
