HARTLAND — The Hartland girls golf team is building off the momentum of its first trip to the state tournament.
The Eagles shot a school-record 326 to win the second annual Hartland Invitational on Monday at Hartland Glen Golf Course.
Hartland finished three shots better than Northville. Bloomfield Hills Cranbrook-Kingswood, led by medalist Kate Cao’s 72, was third at 333.
Sydney Bradford tied for fifth out of 139 golfers with a 77 to lead Hartland, which had two players from last year’s state tournament lineup. Violet Sinishtaj tied for ninth with an 81, Sammi Behen tied for 11th with an 82, and Jordan Piatek and Audrey Brown tied for 26th with 86s.
Bradford opened the season with a school-record 75 in the Orange Theory Invitational at Hudson Mills Golf Course. She’s averaging 78.3 in the first three tournaments.
