A season ago, Hartland’s Maddie Mince was 11th in the 100 butterfly and 17th in the 50 freestyle. A year older, the junior is certainly in range to be top eight in both. Mince is seeded 10th in the butterfly, and 15th in the 50 free.
She will also spearhead the Eagles’ 200 medley relay and 200 free relay teams.
“Maddie’s been having a great season,” said Hartland coach Trey Conner following the KLAA meet. “She’s been focused on the state meet the whole time.”
Freshman Marissa Harris owns the 14-seed in the backstroke.
