Coed Varsity Archery · Hartland Archery becomes Back to Back National Champs!

Hartland Archery Programs traveled to Louisville, KY this past weekend (Thurs.-Sun.) where the National Archery in the Schools Program hosted the 2018 National Championships.

14,139 archers on 663 teams shot in the Bullseye National Championships and 5,456 archers on 280 teams shot in the 3D IBO National Championships.
Hartland High School WON the 3D IBO National Championship for the second year in a row!!!  The team shot 1727 out of a possible 1800.  The second place team was only 5 points behind them!
Hartland MS finished in 12th place in the MS division and the ES team came in 16th for their division!  So top 20 for all three teams and another National Championship!
In the Bullseye Event, Hartland High School nearly made it a clean sweep with National Championships, but ended up as the National Championship Runner-Ups in 2nd place with a 3449 out of 3600.  They missed first place by 14 points and edged out the third place team by only 5!!  Awesome Job!!
Hartland MS finished in 13th place in the MS division and the ES team came in 22nd for their division.  So top 25 for all three teams and another National Champion Runner-Up!
This 2nd place finish awarded Hartland Archers with a total of $18,000 in scholarships!!!! ($750 for all 24 archers on the Varsity Team.)
Hartland High also had an archer make it up on the podium for NASP Bullseye!!  Rachel Hatfield (freshman) shot a 296 out of 300 and came in 5th place.  GREAT JOB RACHEL!!
As a bonus Centershot NASP (NASP taught only in Christian Schools) had their National Championship Bullseye Event and National 3D IBO Individual ONLY event at this event and they opened it up to Public Schools as well.
Hartland decided to shoot in this event and we had a great time!
Hartland High Won the Centershot National Championship (PUBLIC school division), HMS finished in 7th and Farms came in 27th.
Piper Luke from the HMS team came in 3rd place overall in the 3D event with a 285 and Madelyn Gutzeit from the ES team finished in 4th place in the Bullseye event.  Great Job Girls!!
So after the long weekend Hartland Archery came home with:
2 National Championships (NASP 3D and Centershot Rings)
1 National Championship Runner-up (NASP Rings)
3 individual winners
and $18,000 in scholarship winnings!
