Hartland Varsity Wins 8th Straight State Championship in Archery!!
MS continued their streak and collected their 13th consecutive State Title and ES grabs their 12th consecutive StateChampionship!
THAT IS 33 STATE CHAMPIONSHIPS IN THE PROGRAMS 13 YEARS!
With 40 schools and approx. 850 archers registered into the State Tournament – the Lansing Center was overtaken by archers from all around the State!
Hartland High School shot their second highest State score ever – 3458, Howell HS came in 2nd Place with a 3358 and Fowlerville HS came in 3rd Place with a 3353.
Our MS Team took home first with a 3308, Parker MS came in 2nd with a 3275 and Okemos Chippewa MS finished 3rd with a 3214.
The ES Team made it a clean sweep for Hartland as they took first place with a 3078, followed but Laker ES with a 2898 and Three Fires ES with 2744.
Some additional shooting was needed as Garet Fyke and Ethan Shaw (both Hartland Archers were tied for 3rd Place in the Individual Scores. Both archers shot a tie breaker score of 48 out of 50, so it came down to a one arrow knock out. Which ever archer’s arrow was closest the the center would win! Garet beat Ethan by a 1/2”!

So Hartland took home 13 of the 30 available medals!
The Archery Program has one final reason to celebrate – Justin Miller was crowned the Overall Male State Champion as he shot the highest score for all male archers – a 293 out 300.
Hartland Archery will now start to prepare for Nationals in Louisville, KY in May!!
