Skene Shines At The Plate In Hartland Eagles Varsity Victory Over Stevenson
Madelin Skene collected four hits in four at bats, as Hartland Eagles Varsity softball defeated Stevenson 11-1 on Wednesday. Skene doubled in the first, singled in the third, doubled in the fourth, and singled in the fifth.
Hartland secured the victory thanks to six runs in the fourth inning. The Eagles’ offense in the inning came from singles by Sam Nagel and Cassidy MacKinnon and doubles by Skene and Brooke Cowan.

Rachel Everett was the winning pitcher for the Eagles. She allowed five hits and one run over five innings, striking out nine and walking zero.
McCann took the loss for Stevenson. She lasted four innings, allowing 18 hits and 11 runs while striking out two and walking one.
Hartland totaled 18 hits. Skene, Nagel, Clare Minsker, Delaney Robeson, and Brianna Robeson all managed multiple hits for the Eagles. Skene led the Eagles with four hits in four at bats.
Reed went 2-for-3 at the plate to lead Stevenson in hits.
