Hartland High School is proud to recognize Vinnie Sabala of the Varsity Hockey Team as this week’s ChoiceOne Bank Athlete of the Week. Sabala opened the season in dominant fashion, recording his sixth career shutout in the Eagles’ season opener against Canton on Friday, November 7. The senior goaltender stopped all 27 shots he faced, setting the tone for Hartland’s strong start. He followed up that performance with another impressive outing, backstopping the Eagles to a 3–1 victory over Flint Powers, a matchup between two of Michigan’s premier high school hockey programs. Sabala’s poise and consistency in net were key to securing the win. Congratulations to Vinnie on an outstanding start to the season and this well-deserved recognition!
