Hartland Athletics is proud to recognize Orin VanTichelt of the Boys Swim & Dive team as this week’s ChoiceOne Athlete of the Week following an outstanding start to the 2025–26 season. Orin has shown tremendous improvement across the board, consistently dropping time at every meet while working hard to reach his personal goals. One of his biggest gains has come in the 100 backstroke, where he has already posted a time of 1:02.66 early this season after finishing last year at 1:07.31—a nearly five-second improvement. In addition to his progress in the backstroke, Orin has recorded personal-best times in multiple events, including the 50 freestyle (:24.30), 50 backstroke (:28.50), 100 butterfly (1:03.48), and 200 IM (2:18.49). These results highlight his versatility and commitment to improvement early in the season. Orin’s dedication, work ethic, and steady progress have made him a standout for the Eagles and set the tone for what promises to be a strong year.
