The targets never stood a chance. Hartland closed out its regular season with authority this past weekend at the Grand Ledge Shenanigans Tournament, sweeping all three divisions and turning the range into a showcase of maroon and gold precision. With trophies awarded to the top three teams in each division, medals handed to the top 10 boys and top 10 girls, and the coveted G.O.A.T., Greatest of All Time, medal presented to the top overall archer in each division, the Eagles did not just compete, they took over. The elementary squad set the tone early, capturing 1st Place as a team behind a barrage of top finishes. Austin Jacobs delivered a performance that lived up to the spotlight, claiming 1st place among the girls and earning the division’s G.O.A.T. medal as the top overall archer. Madyson LaPoint followed with a 2nd place finish, Lucy Dorset took 3rd, Brynlee Slesinski finished 4th, River Moore added a 5th place performance, and Jaylynn Fletcher secured 8th, giving Hartland overwhelming depth. On the boys side, Frank Gobright fired his way to 1st place, Dar Lorang took 2nd, Nathan Warner placed 7th, and Hunter Tselios finished 10th, sealing a dominant team victory. The middle school team kept the momentum rolling, earning another 1st Place trophy for Hartland. Addison Fellows finished 4th, Samantha Britton placed 5th, and Nadia Harshbarger claimed 10th, proving once again that consistency across the lineup wins championships. By the time the high school division stepped to the line, the standard had been set, and they raised it even higher. The Eagles secured their third team title of the day with a commanding 1st Place finish. Carisa Hall delivered a statement performance, winning 1st place among the girls and earning the high school G.O.A.T. medal as the top overall archer. Emma Shaw followed in 2nd, Peyton Knowlton placed 4th, and AnnaLisa Wilkinson added a 9th place finish. The boys matched that intensity, with Ryan Schultz taking 2nd, Jayden Boshaw finishing 3rd, Judah Moody placing 4th, and Ian Robinson capturing 8th, completing a sweep that left no doubt about Hartland’s firepower. Even more impressive, many Hartland archers recorded personal best scores, a sign that this team is peaking at exactly the right time. After a brief break next weekend, the Eagles will turn their focus to Lansing for the State Tournament on March 14th, carrying confidence, momentum, and the unmistakable look of a program ready for the biggest stage.
