Hartland Athletics is proud to recognize Brad Essenmacher of the Hartland Boys Basketball team as this week’s ChoiceOne Athlete of the Week. Brad delivered a strong all-around performance in two key games, helping lead the Eagles to a pair of hard-fought victories. Against Milford, he scored 17 points, including the team’s first eight points after an early deficit, sparking a comeback that kept Hartland in the game and ultimately led to a win. He followed that up with 11 points in a thrilling 43–41 comeback victory over Brighton, while also making a major impact on the defensive end. Tasked with guarding the opposing team’s top scorer in both contests, Brad rose to the challenge with physical, disciplined defense. Across the two games, he totaled 11 rebounds and shot an impressive 83% from the free throw line, showcasing his efficiency and reliability in key moments.
